disable restart on System failure... Properties on My computer>Advanced Tab> Startup and recovery buton> Uncheck Automatically restart (its a little over halfway down the window)
now when you get a BSOD it will stay there until you manually restart the computer. Then you can see the Error code, which we need (ex. 0x0000004e )
sometimes there is also a driver listed at the bottom, usually ends with a .sys extention.
