if you want sli, you obviously need 2 pci express slots, and a sli based motherboard. itll have sli in the name usually. im pretty sure nvidia doesnt like other manufacturer using their own boards, so mostly its the nforce boards you have to have. look at newegg, all the ones with sli in the name can run sli, otherwise they dont have the right chipset. or so i understand anyway.

you need a power supply sli support, aka enough extra gpu card power cables. im pretty sure you need a sli bridge too, idk.
