XNA Announces Multiplayer Games for Zune

That's cool and all, but seems kinda of pointless. I mean, how long can you play a multi-player game on a 240x320 screen for? And what kind of multi-player game would it be, given the limitations of the Zune.

Actually, I've been in multiple situations when I'm just waiting for something, and wished there were games on the Zune. It's not the multiplayer feature that's got me excited, but rather the games itself in general. The newer Zunes have a 'touchpad' that really makes things interesting. Here's a video I found of the multiplayer gaming FPS style.

@nano351: Yes, games like that and Tetris will be awesome for times when you're just sitting around with nothing to do. Also, we are planning on porting the NES emulator for the Xbox XNA to the Zune XNA.

Oh, neat-o, that looks pretty cool. Do you have to press the pad or is it like the iPod scroll wheel?

Personally I've only had time to check it out once for a few minutes, but from my memory, it is like the iPod clickwheel. Putting your finger slightly on the pad will even pick up. In addition to that, you have the choice of actually clicking it also.

Ya, it's pretty nice and sensitive. When looking through my thousands of songs I just drag my finger up or down the pad. The scrolling also speeds up the faster you drag your fingers.

And you can just click it as well.
