anyone here that is really good at pool? ive been playing a lot of pool during summer and i want to get really serious. such as i want to learn how to do some amazing trick shots. i already know how to do jump shots but im practicing on actually hitting the balls when i jump the cue. what are the benefits from using a stick that weighs 20 oz? i prefer 19 oz because i get amazing control with them. pool is so much ****ing fun and i hope there are some good players here.

I use a 20oz just because I like the feal of the weight, it just helps me. Ive only been practicing for a year now that I finally got my own table.

I use the heavier wieght sticks to break at the beginging, and I went down and got a pretty nice carbon fibre stick for like 20 bucks at Wal Mart.

I don't like carbon fiber ones, they just feel wrong. You can't compare a predator shaft with a carbon fiber ;)

what are the different types of sticks? the place where i play at only provides wooden ones.

I'm unbelievably good at pool, I have total control of english with the cue, I use fine tip. Bank, rails, jump shots, can do em all with ease, placed first in a couple tournaments around here, won 200$

I myself prefer snooker, bigger table and alot more fun, but 8 ball can be fun to, block your opponent at every shot and watch him flip out haha
