I'm thinking is it worth it to spend $400 dollars for some OS that will require me to buy a TON of more crap, 4096 MB RAM for the x64 version. DX10 graphics.
On top of this, Vista has much LESS support for a lot of applications, drivers, etc. It seems that Vista requires great hardware, but is not optimized for it, ex: Vista still relys on Applications to deal with multi-core processors, not allow single core apps to run faster on a dual core machine. The last great question is what is the difference? I have XP. Why do I need this crap. Because it has a FANCY new interface? -Vista Transformation Pack. Because it has better security? -Current AV programs don't work. -Thanks AGENTGOD. Because it is different? -Not really, has it really changed from XP. OR any other version of Windows after 3.1 -The only real changes are to places such as the Start Menu, when closer examined, aren't that significant at all. I say this new OS is a bloatware piece of crap which is trying to look good with a better looking interface which suprisingly reminds me of a Mac. I say this isn't going anyware, with no more support for multi-cores. This reminds me of the "New Coke" that Coca-Cola came up with to mimic Pepsi back in the day. Result? They switched back to the old.

Yes yes, blah blah, you have to go buy a new computer and spend money on a little something called progression. Whah. Vista is the future most widely used platform in the world, just like every version of Windows before it. Support will gradually improve to keep up with the world market. I heard the same babble about XP before it was released and now no one wants to get rid of it.
This is how the electronics economy works. Get used to it. |

Spend money on an OS? Ahahahahaha. If the M$ were to somehow prevent piracy (yeah f*cking right) most of the pirates (such as myself) would switch to Linux. I'm starting to become fond of Linux anyway.
I'll be dual booting into Vista just to check it out, once the final release is out. |
