I'm gonna call bull**** on this one.

1. It's not exactly a simple thing to steal money from an ATM. Short of smashing it to pieces (which will trigger an alarm), you're not getting any money out of it.

2 he camera would catch anything that comes within two feet of either side of it (it's a fisheye lense). There is almost always at least one other camera that monitors the ATM from a different angle just in case the first camera is disabled somehow.

3. Police will not come and arrest you at gunpoint unless you're thought to be dangerous. A couple of high school kids aren't usually cause to draw guns.
