Question on making web sites

hey i might start my own web site and i was just wonderin what program do most of u use? i got like flash and power point and other stuff like dream weaver

All you need is notepad.

PS: Excel is for spreadsheets, It's almost completely irrelevent to web-design.

u need a topic first, then u need contents, then u need a design, and finally u code your design, on the application part you dont need ****, except for a graphical app and notepad

if u want a good layout for ur site then find a site that has a good layout, go to view>source and thats the layout of the site. or u could go to file>save as and save the page and edit it the way u want and change stuf around.

btw wat happened to zerogamers is was down for a couple days and now its kinda back up

All you do need is notepad for creating websites. Through PHP or HTML. You need to know what your doing though.

But for extra goodies to get some GFX programs such as Photoshop so you can make a banner and template etc.

As well FTP accessable program such as Smart FTP or Cute FTP. To manage your files/folders and alot more.
