Why Google will beat MS

Well another fine tool has come out from the google camp and it is truely a great product.... the google web accelerator. Try it out see how much time it saves you.

And more on topic google can beat MS in just about every venture due to them having the following:

A) Successful Advertising model thus allowing them to release software for free to the consumer and charge the advertiser.

B) A teflon brand... have they ever released a product that just plain sucked? Not that I can remember.

C) Alot of smart people who are given plenty of time to work on new projects (40% of the google work week is spent on new/personal project).

These three things are enough to beat MS because they have taken care of all the people involved... the employees are well taken care of, the consumer is getting cool/free software, the advertiser has a great venue of happy consumers so they are happy, and finally there stock holder (yes I do have a couple hundred shares and am very happy) is very happy since they have seen the stock go up by 300%+ since IPO.

Down with MS.

A google OS wouldnt surprise me. Hell, if you look at all the features its already got, they could just wrap that all up into some disks, add a start menu, and there you go.

No problem, I have a Netscape Browser and a Firefox. I use the Firefox, my dad uses the Netscape since it has the Weatherbug thing right on the homepage so he can see if he has to work in clear weather or wait for oncoming rain to pass by. It was a good read though, Bill will drop any amount of money to stay on top.

I would think a Google operating system would be good. But, the problem would be that it would be such a pain in the ass switching from Windows to Google OS if it doesn't support Windows applications.

By the way, is it legal to allow use of Windows Applications on different operating systems?

Not sure. It would seem that there would have to be some sort of compromise between the two.

Maybe they could try to pull the same card the P2P people are using. They support use of the Windows programs, but do not provide any copywrited Windows Applications, nor would they condone the use of Windows applications on their operating system.

But the P2P software companies are starting to get sued and didn't they just pass a bill to make P2P programs illegal?

I don't believe it passed. I googled it and it seems that when the bill was first introduced it got a 1/5 votes, so it didn't pass in its current form.

8 billion pages is alot... Obviously google isnt able to search through 100% of the internet, but it does quite a bit.
