BotB-A Short story on the ownage of Battle of the Bands by NecroCarnage's Lead Singer

Months of practicing... Who am i kidding. The song was invented the monday of the week the battle of the bands came around. But as a whole band we've been practicing as around a month, thats including the 2nd guitarest and the lead singer we imported. Prior to the full band we've been practicing for 7 or so months. So the half band with me as the bassist, my guitarist michael, and my drummer louis, we're already pretty bad ass. So we needed a badass guitarist which we found in Steven, and a badass to good singer which we found in John.

Monday - The song is formed and untill wensday, i'd never here it.

Tuesday - Its around this time i find out that the band has mad a song and wanted me to right lyrics for it. Seeing how i didn't know anything about how the song is supposed to sound i just pulled out some old lyrics i had and handed it to them. but i had an intent for writing better ones which i did later on because they didn't like the emo-esque lyrics i wrote.

Wensday - This day i made the current lyrics for the song. Later on this day after school i went to our jamping place learned the bass part for the song, by this time our current singer has never sung any songs for anything we practiced not even once. i was getting skeptical =/

Edit: On further not i forgot to add on this day we had the cops called on us at night for a noise disturbance

Thursday- Early in the mourning we brought all out amps and stuff to school and rehersals was from 4:15 - 5:30 after school. Only 3 other bands showed up for rehersals and there was no mic to sing into. As i didn't bring my amp because i was sure someone would let be borrow theres, which luckily they did, we just the song instrumental. After school we went to Mazak's, the local guitar store and bought some picks and a a pair of drum sticks for our drummer. Afterwards went to my friends house to jam out, we used our little amps because we left the drumming gear and big amps at school. In the middle of our jam session, our singer dropped a bomb on us. He said he couldn't sing because of his alergies. He said his voice was going out. And we were all pretty bummed out. But because i had Death Metal singing experiance. I was pushed to being the lead singer and they dropped the bass part entirely. I was pretty bummed about this because i know i can sing death metal, i did it all the time when the band first started but i was alot more nervous to sing then i am to play. Eventually after around 4 hours i got a good singing part to goto the rhythem and we tape recorded it so i could listen to it most of the night and hear it before we went on tomorrow.

Friday - The day of the Battle of the Bands. I had gotten almost no sleep what-so-ever and was tired most of the day. I tried to stay this way because i'm alot less nervous when i'm tired. We were able to get out earlier then the rest of school because we had to setup. The BotB was set around 3:10 or so and we got out at 2:50. We found out we were the 3rd band to go up. Originally we wanted as a band to be either first or last. That way we'd show everone up from the start, or blow everyone else out. We already knew we were going to own because we litterally had the 2 biggest amps at the show.

BotB- The first band sucked, i felt sorrow for them because they're song was heavilly censored.
The 2nd band that went up didn't have a singer. infact they played a ****ty song and just had some really short freshmen kid in a mario suit jump around and stuff.
Then NecroCarnage went up. My band. The band i had to sing for =/ All of us were ready and then the curtain went up... I just looked at steven and michael for like a second because we had no idea how to start the song off. Michael wanted me to say something. But he just started his opening intro as usuall. Man i can't belive how pumped you can get infront of 300+ people. Out of all the bands, and i kid you not, we litterlly got the most applause out of everyone one. We had a few girls get up and mosh in their seats. It was just insane.
The 4th band to go up played some Emo like song and naturally most of the girls was going for this song. It was song by a good friend of mine.
The 5th and last band to go up was the jazz band. This dude was going off on this big ass electric cello and i was seriouslly amazed.

After the BotB was over and school let out. We walked out the back and there was people lined up all over the fence to see the band. Most of the girls were there to see me, and i got some chicks number (all over again which i forgot at work) I know she's gonna be pissed when i get goto school tuesday =/
