Which console to buy?

I realize this may sound like a rather odd question, however. I'm not sure which console I should buy. So far I have three options.
a. New Xbox for 90E (my brother won one and wants to sell it to me)
b. A PS2 for 150E (I really enjoy playing Final Fantasy)
c. Wait for the new PS3

What do you guys think I should do? Buying that PS2 for now seems the most tempting option, because of the FinalFantasy series.
I'm not sure though.

To my knowledge, the PS3 will be backwards compatible with PS2 and PSone disks. If that's the case, then PS3 would be the way to go.

But it'll take ages :P since I refuse to buy it at the launch-price.

Buy a Ps2 now. They're dirt cheap and the new slim ones come with built in online.

I think that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'll buy a PS3 when they're around 250E.

Xbox.

I can play ps2,gamecube,snes,n64,nes,gba,virtualboy, and pretty much any other game, on my xbox. They are easy to mod, and very easy to mod the hardware and make it look all spiffy. I'm adding 6 usb ports to my xbox, and am going to paint it soon.

PS3 is all well and good, but it's stupid. When xbox 360 is coming out soon. The PS3 can't even compare to it.

Get ps2, it's cheap because the ps3 is coming out, and you got final fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts 2 coming out soon.

Is Kingdom Hearts any good? I never played it because it has Disney characters in it.

It's only worth a rental (in my opinion) Tucker. Decent story, and some cool cameo appearances. Pretty short game too if your good at Action/Adventures, cause that's pretty much what it is.

Kingdom Hearts is a good game.
My advice, it's better to buy a ps2. It's really cheap.

Girls already have plans, they just want you to listen to them and give encouragement. If you give suggestions, they will not follow at all.

Buying the ps3 brand new will be better than buying a ps2 and then buying a ps3 once the prices are down. However, if you want something immediate, I'd get the ps2 now, wait for the ps3 prices to come down and then get it - you can of course sell your old ps2 (machine, not the games) to make enough cash to get the ps3, and perhaps cut a bit off the waiting for the prices.
