This is probably one of my all time favorite games. When you first look at it, it seems pretty lame, but it's actually a really good game. I encourage everyone to at least try it once, since it only takes about 30 minutes a day to keep your country going. If I can get enough people together, I'd like to start a BWHacks group together in one of the tournaments.

Would it run well on extremely slow computers with a slow connection?

It's browser based, slowdown wouldn't matter. You get a set number of turns with which you can perform a number of actions. You are then informed of the results. Attacking another country, for example, takes two turns as most government types, three as a democracy, and one as a tyranny. I usually try for top ten for the first week, then kill an unsuspecting country for no reason at all.

I'd suggest everyone playing through this game until it resets, then we'll all create new countries and work together to dominate the tournament. It's a pretty simple game, after about four or five resets I had my strategy perfected. I'll join you all in the next reset (I don't like playing from the middle).

Be sure to include which game you're in, there are 26 different Tournament games going on at once (one for each letter of the alphabet).
