For Boyo, and whoever else might need it, a simple Brush Technique Tutorial. I just scrapped this up in a few minutes, so sorry if it's crappy.
Materials: -Photoshop 7.0 or Higher -Orson's Brushpack 5 1. Start off by pressing D. This will reset your colors to black and white. Then, Filter > Render > Clouds. 2. Next, create a new layer and start brushing around. Remember, stamp your brushes, don't drag. Also, remember to keep changing your brush (from the pack) and pressing X to change from black to white or vice versa. Set the layer to softlight or overlay. I chose overlay. 3. Create a few more brush layers and set them to softlight or overlay. I set mine to overlay. 4. Create a new layer. Press Ctrl+A to select all, and Ctrl+Shift+C to copy merged. Press Ctrl+V to paste. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur 3.0 Pixels. Set this layer to overlay or lighten. I chose lighten. And that's about it. Add in your render, and use your own style to design a good sig that matches you. [If you're lost and don't know where to go from there, read a few more tuts, and you'll get the picture. Here's one to start you off. An Original Ideal Maxima Tutorial.] NOTE: You can change any part of the sig to your liking. Don't always go by the instructions, be unique and add in your own little effects and such. ![]() |
