Adobe Illustrator CS : Using Layers

#1: Start out by making a few squares that are overlaping.

#2: Select a shape that you want to move to the front.

#3: Press Crtl + ] to move a layer to the front, and Ctrl + [ to move a layer to the back.

#4: Chage the layer of each shape, to reorder them how you like, the layer tool can be very very useful.


Like if im trying to make a picture of this ski:

I would start by making the outline:

Than fill in the negative space with a blob:

Color the shape:

Ajust its layer:

I'm slowly starting to get a LITTLE better at Illustrator. It takes practice thought right? Practice makes perfect. I hope so. I've been practicing alot. But I still suck. But really, thanks alot for the tutorials.
