Popout Sig Tutorial.

All done with Photoshop CS.

1.) First start out with your finished backround and everything.


2.) Now add the picture you want to make popout. !Use Common Sense! : Your picture must be bigger than your sig. And of course when you add it to your sig its gonna be cut off. I'm going to add this Supra.


3.) Now go to Image -> Canvas Size and it will show your Sig's size.

Im going to add 50 pixels to both height and width on my sig. ( your pic shouldn't be much bigger than that )

4.) Once done you'll get something like this and it will show the transparent parts of your sig.


5.) What we want to do is to match the sig in its correct spot. So click on any layer and click the chain button for all the layers. The chain button is next to the Eye button in the layers box.


6.) Then move the sig and picture towards any corner you like best.


7.) Once done you can click over the chains again to dis-select them. And now save your image. Go to File -> Save As.. And save it as CompuServe .gif.


And when you add it to your sig, it will be transparent.

I'm posting partly because you didn't recieve the attention you deserved for making the tutorial, and mostly to comment.

This tutorial is pretty good, though it is a bit useless. I suggest something a little more...every day useable.

You could aldo add a new layer put it on bottom of other layers and save as a .png file.

Png's are less used than gif's, so there would be less upload sites that upload them.

not true! imageshack and photobucket can upload jpgs, gifs, and pngs.

Not true, mostly because mose upload sites these days let you upload a bunch of stuff...I mean they are upload sites, right?
