Cutting out pictures with a background

Step 1:Select the magic wand tool.

Step 2:Click or select all of the background with the magic wand tool.

Step 3:Right click on the image and click on select inverse.

Step 4:Right click on it again and click layer via copy.

Step 5: Notice how you have 2 layers Select the background layer and delete it.

This is what you should have left.

Step 6: Now you're done,just save this file as a png and you're set to go.

Is all this really necessary when you could have just used the magic eraser?

Still a good tut though, specially if you have a multi colored background.

Uhh this is pretty obvious, did you have to make a tut. Besides this doesn't help when the back round isn't just one colour.

what if u have an intricate background cause thats were i always have a problem

lol yeha that would work if it had a 1 colour backround :P but if it was mutlicolours or had items n such in it what would you do ? i know what to do.. but i would take too long to put it here..soo heres a site that i use to help me
