Cool Grunge Texture

Note: These are not my brushes

Well if you remember, I had made a green grunge sig before, and now i'll show you how to make it.

This tutorial comes with brushes, if you need extra help installing the brushes, post in this thread.

Ok

First off open up PhotoShop 7+(i havn't tested on 6-) and create a transparent document of a width of 450 and a height of 120(You can pick other sizes too if you want, but 450 by 120 is a good sig size.

First layer: Filter -> Render -> Clouds

Create a new layer, Download this Brush, and load it.
With your newly created layer, brush evenly with black using the Crown__s_Fractals brush

Create a new layer, download this brush and load it.
With your newly created layer, brush evenly with white using the RoD_Inc___Render_Brushes brush. Set the layer mode to Soft Light.

Create a new layer and take this picture, right click> copy , then paste it into the new layer.

then, set the mode to Soft Light

It should now look like this:

Now click this button

and click Colour Balance.

Mess around with the settings, I used

Midtones: 0 +60 0
Shadows: 0 +27 -31
Highlights: 0 +19 +55

But you can try getting other colours as well.

Now your done your grunge-like background! This is my final result:

ill write a better grunge background tut actually made by me ill even make some brushes to use in it give me like a half hour to throw something together
