Haha my friend sent me this as a prank and i knew what it was but i couldnt stop it the second time. how do you stop this without restarting or turning off the computer?

It's a command that makes another command go over and over.

In this case, it makes the "start CMD" command go over and over.

Because of how many windows that one opens up Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Alt+break don't work. You end up stopping one window but as soon as you close it the rest keep on propagating. Simple but effective.

so do you know of a way to stop it?

Just end the task fast enough to outrun the script which loads through the page. Also, you could freeze the window name from being created on linux-style distros. Theres a mod for it.

I got it to stop with ctrl alt break, but as soon as you close the one you managed to stop the others kick in and continue to propagate more windows. Ended up just shutting it down.

With, of course, no scripts. Oh, and you have to use your mouse, instead of Alt+F4.
