I've been saving up money so that I can get away from this family computer I use right now and hope to get my own computer that I don't have to deal with what they download on it and to have a much better performance on it than this one. If any and all could refer me, especially the Mods and Admins since I can trust they know what they're talking about, to a specific computer that is a great for gaming with little to lag free performance and if there is no such computer, what components I will need to create a computer that can run with a breeze. I ask this because I play WoW now as opposed to my previous SC obsession. Playing WoW on the current computer I have is fun except I hate the lag when I enter high populated areas or when Blizzard is upgrading while people are still trying to game or my computer is just being stupid and can't keep up. These are the components that I can pull up to my knowledge that is on my computer.

If you can make sense of this, please help me choose the components and pieces necessary to make a great gaming computer.

Ok.... biggest problem: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400
Rest looks fine. You can get a Radeon 9800 at newegg.com pretty cheap (around $130 last time I checked). Otherwise a Radeon 9600 should be fine. They had a Radeon 9600 AIW (VIVO), that was nice and cheap. |

Your computer looks fine as long as your not planning on playing a game like Half-Life 2 or Doom 3, and if you are you can get a really nice card, but if your on a small budget I would reccomend the RADEON X300.

www.newegg.com has everything at great prices. I'm a little out-of-date on the newest and greatest stuff, since I haven't upgraded my computer for about a year and a half.

**** a Dell
And to what was previously posted, Newegg offered 225 for the ATI - RADEON 9800 PRO Graphics Card whereas Best Buy has it for 250, so there is an improvement. Also, you guys think a new graphics card is all that's necessary to helping my computer to run smoothly through WoW? Although I don't know **** about computers, I can't really rely that only 1 thing is keeping my computer from smoother gaming performance. Anything else that can be improved?

To my knowledge we've never shipped any systems out with Tsearch... At least here in Canada. Thank God we don't have to deal with the rednecks from the US. Example: "I gawt a prawblum awn ma cawmputa." Well Sir heres the US number call them and they can try to understand that verbal diarhea that you just spouted at me.

Your running 56k? Theres nothing wrong with the computer, But with 256mb ram and if your running windows xp i advise that you upgrade to 512mb. It may be a little pricey to start with. But i assure you, You will experience much better performance and it'll save you time and money in the long haul.
