Start menu gone

Ok got my new video card today and installed it. Works great except I can't see my start menu anymore. I've tried changing the resolution and moving the screen around. Any ideas?

that's weird. Think we could see a screenshot? The only thing I could think is that the start menu had it's hight reduced to 0. Does the windows key still work?

Well, last time this happened to me I was forced to reformat. I'd recommend using Desktop X as a bandaid until you can figure something else out; you can access your start menu with it by right clicking your desktop.

Can you see your desktop icons?

Try killing explorer in task manager (make sure you use "End process tree", in the "Processes" tab) and running it again.

Fixed it earlier today. I uninstalled the new video card driver, uninstalled the old on board driver, reinstalled the new video card driver, then updated. Works like a champ =)
