Which linux

I got a new comp with vista basic and am going back to linux. But long time since, which linux version would you recommend for a Toshiba intel celeron processer, 1 gig, nothing special...

I like Ubuntu/Kubuntu, since they have a massive user base and active forums it helps alot for troubleshooting.

I personally like slackware.
