Default Any GRUB gurus here?

Sorry for asking stupid question, but where can I find the latest binaries for GRUB?

Specifically I need the file "stage2_eltorito".

Thanks.

Going to google.com, typing in "stage2_eltorito" and clicking "I'm feeling lucky" worked for me.

Except it doesn't give me an official source for the official latest version.

GRUB's FTP?
Besides, you can always compile a source yourself.

That's the thing, I don't feel like installing a Linux distro again just to compile it.

You can always virtualize a system from a LiveCD, then use the compiled source.

There aren't many Linux LiveCDs with gcc or g++ on them.

What you want is 1.96

Question: Why do you want the newest distro of grub anyways? Just curious, I don't see why it'll make too much of a difference to go to the trouble of getting.

Meh, guess you're right. I'll just stick with GRUB4DOS as it's simpler to use with CDs. Thanks for you guys' efforts though.
