Default Wubi

Not even sure if anyone looks in this subforum (seeing as the last post was from May), but here goes anyway.

Wubi = Windows-based UBuntu Installer
Wubi - Ubuntu Installer for Windows

Wubi is a very simple installer for Ubuntu, that does not require messy partitioning, and is not a virtual machine. Instead, it "fools" Ubuntu into thinking it is on its own partition, by installing into a file on your C drive. Windows treats Wubi-installed Ubuntu as a program, so you can easily uninstall (basically deletes one folder and a few registry entries) it if you don't want it any more.

Of course, there are a few limitations, the most major one being that you cannot hibernate/suspend.

Read the FAQ for more information.

Hope this helps anyone who wants to try out Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu without the hassle of partitioning.
