It screwed up a map I unprotected by removing a crucial trigger that started the whole game...

Anyways, Special Unprotector is pretty neat, although 1.0 screwed up the sounds. Not sure if 1.3 still does that though.

Shadow Protector This is what Ultimate Map Locker originally was. That guy JoeRay stole it, but w/e.

Special Protector 2 This is currently unprotectable, dunno what Unused will do later though.

Didn't that unprotector guy give out the source? Why can't we use that against him?

He did. But that's for OSMAP 1.10, not OSMAP2 1.00k. Also, OSMAP2 1.00k has the Player Trigger Shift Bug fixed, which might make that unprotector worthwhile now.

And everytime someone makes a new protector, he makes a way to unprotect it. :O

Afaik no. Except for one map that crashed it out, but it can be opened with UU2 which I cannot get to function.

Just to let everyone know as of 01/15/08, there is no protection that can beat OSMAP2's latest version, and all bugs in it have been fixed, as far as we know. This included player shift bug.

Oh and yes, OSMAP2 is public.

Map Protectors.zip

This file has CPP Test Protector 2.1 (if you compress a map and use this after it messes up strings, I think, look out), Special Protector 1.4 (disables extra sounds that are added, if your map has music then don't use it, but it's hard to unprotect it because only OSMAP2 and UU2 1.3 can) and Shadow Protector 1.5 (same as Ultiamte Map Locker except it's a newer version).
