I encounter something funny and it trouble me for a while. As the problem was "Happening" I was suspecting that it was due to a particular factor but I did not think too much of it untill after that when I do something to solve that particular factor and found out that it was really due to that factor.
This is what happen, while I am testing my map, what I do is I just watch, no touch and let some strong unit that I purposely place there to attack all the unit that come out when switch is set. The reason was to test the switch to see whether it goes accordingly to what I have set. And here is the funny thing that happen. For the first time, I notice there are things that I have put in my trigger did not acommplish and it was a message that have to be displayed. so I alt tab back to scm draft to check the trigger and nothing was wrong so nvm I save again and restart the game. This time the second switch cannot be "switch on" so the whole game die. Same I went back scm darft to check it out. Lol really nothing was wrong with the trigger. so I save it and went to retry. This time another switch cannot be "turn on". so I keep repeating the routine untill I am tired and I stop going back to scm draft and just start the game again and again and just observe. Guess what , lol I did not touch the game at all everytime but the result was different everytime. Sometime switch 2 cannot work and sometime switch 3 and also sometime action in switch did not accomplished as set. It was really random sometime this did not accomplish and sometime that. So I decided to solve the factor that I think was affecting it. As I observe that the speed of the count down timer was too fast 1 second is like only half a second and my trigger got so much to do with the count down timer so I quit the game and create again setting normal speed for the game. And everythings go smoothly now. So the reason why random switch cannot be accomplish is because count down timer time have already pass the time i have set as it countdown too fast. And now the problem is only normal speed can run my game smoothly so is there anyway to change the speed of the game to normal even when people did not select normal? The trigger goes: Player : player 1 Condition : switch 1 is set ; current kill exactly 1 unit ; countdown timer is exactly 1 game second Action : set switch 2 ; display text message ; play wave Player : player 1 Condition : switch 2 is set ; current kill exactly 2 unit ; countdown timer is exactly 1 game second Action : set switch 3 ; display text message ; play wave so on and so fore but sometime when countdown timer is 1 game second, the switch did not "turn on" as set but sometime it does. on the above post I stated that when game speed is normal the game can run smoothly but today I test is again sometime is also fail to run smoothly but at least better than the fastest speed How? Should I change trigger form? |
