Details:

They came to where i worked to ride go-karts, because they're in town for a show tomorrow. One of the corporate douche bags came and escorted them around, and since we aren't allowed to have our phones, we obviously couldn't take pictures. Not to stop there, they told us we couldn't ask for autographs, and that we had to treat them just like regular guests.

Either way, it was still ****ing awesome just having brief conversation with them, and they invited a bunch of our staff to go to the concert as VIP's. Unfortunately, no love for the cashiers, since they didn't have to pay for anything, but i have to work tomorrow anyway, so i told them I'd see them at the after party, hosted by my local rock station, which i already have tickets for because my best friend learned how to play guitar from the local band headlining at the party.

Was it fun meeting a decent band with almost no notoriety anymore? They're just people, stop making such a big deal about it.

The Foo Fighters were one of the first bands i actually got into when i was younger, and still are one of my favorites. It is a big deal to me. Of course we wouldn't like worship them, but meeting one of your favorite bands is pretty cool unless you try and act like its no big deal.

yup, the first CD i ever owned was the Colour and the Shape.

my musical taste has since changed and i dont really listen to their stuff but im sure it would be cool to talk to Dave Grohl and ask him how teh **** do i begin to play the drum set thats sitting in my living room right now.

They were one of the first bands I liked as well, but I kinda grew out of them as I got exposed to more music. Meeting people you admire is cool, but most people take it overboard.

Nice man. I was a big fan of theirs also. It is rare to be able to make a connection with someone you respect that much. It's a nice break from the mundane life that we are usually presented with.
