3d movies

ok so i was dragged along by my GF to see Journey to the center of the earth in 3D. When i went i was given complementary 3d glasses. Can i use those glasses on 3d movies at home on my projector? or would i need special hardware... anyone know?

I'm pretty sure you could use 3d glasses on any 3d movie. I mean, it's not like they made the glasses differently for different movies.

the red green(or wtever the color is) paper ones? if you have one of those videos that has the 3d video thing, you can use them. the videos that have 3 pictures in different colors, that look trippy if you watch them without the glasses. not many movies are made like that, only a couple, but you can use them if you get those videos.

the movie with the glasses off was not discolored, it was just double layered

i was always given the super cheap ones that were made in a sweat factory on some island, because the chinese companies knew labor costs were cheaper on the island with the "uncontacted" tribes made slaves.

the chinese companies who outsourced for cheaper labor.

same thing though i think.

ok further research brings me to the conclusion that this is called polarized 3D instead of the old stereoscopic 3d which uses the red/blue glasses. I cant seem to find any at home application since everyone is saying you need two polarized projectors and a special screen.

Yeah it's a different type of 3D, which (when I saw a demonstration of), required 2 projectors. There was actually a guy who just had 2 lights shining on a screen, and his shadow became 3D. However, if you download the movie in 3D format, you might be able to watch it on your PC..not sure tho.
