Also, for mephisto wasn't his sole stone already shattered so a piece was put into each of the members of the travincal and the largest shard was in the leader who transformed into mephisto. I don't think the hero ever smashed the smaller shards so couldn't those be used to make mephisto again :o

Yeah there's a PDF that comes with Diablo that has the entire story in it, even bits and pieces from Diablo 2. It was a pretty interesting read.

Alright, I remember reading that now. I didnt think much of a storyline existed in D2. :P

Well, there has to be a Diablo in it... And we see Tyraels face everywhere.

Yeah, now it's just other lesser evil bosses. Diablo survived for 2 games, and Mephisto and Baal were killed, along with Tyreal destroying the Worldstone, so it all makes sence.
