Eh, all these complaints are just superficial. It doesn't matter how it looks as long as it has the superior gameplay that we've come to expect from SC1.

The lack of depth with the buildings and some units is only because that's obviously a pre-beta test.
I doubt the buildings will end up looking like that.

Akazukin is right, and you don't seem to see the relevance to Warcraft because Warcraft for you starts at Warcraft III, and this uses the... Warcraft 1 engine? It might be the WC2 engine, I have no idea. One of those, for sure.

All I know is that they switched to a new engine back then, but they don't seem to want to lose the WCIII engine because making a new one would be too costy.
