Change IP For Bnet IPBanned

Hey everyone.. just here to give yall alittle somewhat trick

So.. have you ever been IPBanned from battle.net?
Yup it sux dont it.. i was recently IPBanned from the east server
and was past 3 days.. so i figured it would last for 2 weeks.
I was like no way!

So i decided to change my IP Address.
took me awhile to find this one.

I've tried this on both Windows XP and Windows 2000, and it has worked:[/b]


1. Click on "Start" in the bottom left hand corner of screen
2. Click on "Run"
3. Type in "command" and hit ok

You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.

4. Type "ipconfig /release" just like that, and hit "enter"
5. Type "exit" and leave the prompt
6. Right-click on "Network Places" or "My Network Places" on your desktop.
7. Click on "properties"

You should now be on a screen with something titled "Local Area Connection", or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.

8. Right click on "Local Area Connection" and click "properties"
9. Double-click on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" from the list under the "General" tab
10. Click on "Use the following IP address" under the "General" tab
11. Create an IP address (It doesn't matter what it is. I just type 1 and 2 until i fill the area up).
12. Press "Tab" and it should automatically fill in the "Subnet Mask" section with default numbers.
13. Hit the "Ok" button here
14. Hit the "Ok" button again

You should now be back to the "Local Area Connection" screen.[/b]
15. Right-click back on "Local Area Connection" and go to properties again.
16. Go back to the "TCP/IP" settings
17. This time, select "Obtain an IP address automatically"
18. Hit "Ok"
19. Hit "Ok" again
20. You now have a new IP address

With a little practice, you can easily get this process down to 15 seconds.

After you do this.. you should no longer be IPBanned

if you have cable, you can't change your ip unless you call your internet provider.

if you have dsl, just take out your plug and plug it back in

you are wrong.

as already in like 3 other threads it is perfectly explained how you can change your IP if you have cable by changing your Routers MAC Address. You dont need to call.

okay.. i did all that but i still cant get on USeast.
how do i know if im banned?
all i know is that i cant play on east, but all the other servers i can

If you do this to much Blizzard will just have to ban your whole ISP to block you out, and will probably send a complaint to your ISP about it, which could get your internet permanently shut off. So don't do it to much unless you don't care about internet.

how would they know? they might jus think you were using different comps or something.. i doubt they would go far enough to get my cable company to shut off my internet

yeah i changed my IP to like 121-1212-12-12-12 or some ****, then pushed ok, then re oppened it and did it auto-config IP then pushed ok
i did everything in the directions...
could my key just be banned on east? not just my IP address?

Is it really possible for people like me who have a static ip that wont change. I've had the same ip for years and it has never changed, ive even bought a new router. I think this method only works for people with a dynamic ip. Or least with static ips.

u gotta make sure that you are accutally IPBanned..
ya it could be that ur cdkey is banned

If you have a static IP, its probably not possible. Changing your mac adress might work but not always. If you rent your modem from your isp, call them and say you want a replacement.

but it cant get on bnet for starcraft ne ways, none ofthe stealthbots can
how do i know if my key got banned?
i got banned three days ago, trying to log in a bot while bnet was runing... probably not a good idea.

like does blizard send an email that says "congrats: you got key banned" or something?

True, you can only connect on stealthbot using Warcraft III and diablo2.
can you connect using wc3 client?
If so.. do so, and it will say what is wrong when you connect.. either telling you that your cdkey is banned, in use, or voided, or that your IPBanned

could i just change my Ip to 111-111-111-111 or something and see if that works? instead of letting it auto-config an IP?
