Linksys: Overclocking your router

It appears that you can even recover if you do a bad flash.

Its all very interesting, i might give it a try as well. The whole boosting signal thing is pretty cool.

Though i hope my router is supported...

Looks very cool. Do you know if there is other software for PC's that lets you prioritize the bandwith on different programs or even PC's??

i dont reckon this would work with old ass routers like mine, but if i buy another ill try this just to see what kinda results i get.

I have a D-LINK DI-714P WIFI router but I can't find that its supported anywhere. So might not be able to try, however when i get a new router i'll be sure to give it a shot.

psh, i did this to my router about a year and a half ago. it rocks so hard. serisouly great performance increase, well worth it. i thought you all knew about this...

I was going to install a fan on my WRTSL54GS and push the 266Mhz CPU to 300Mhz but for whatever reason we couldn't install the fan directly onto the pins where the power came in, everytime we did the firmware would stop working and we'd have to reflash it.

So, did you end up flashing it successfully? I bought a wrt54gl on newegg and it should be coming in the mail tomorrow. Are the chances of me ****ing it up that bad?

lmfao, this is SOOOO old. I did this to my router about half a year ago. I have a firmware called tomato installed onto mine. its neat and easy but nothing too awsome.
