Default [Fix] Nero Out of Sync Audio and Video

I've been reading some threads and see that some people are having trouble getting audio and video in sync when transcoding a movie through Nero Vision. This problem usually occurs when trying to convert an Xvid movie with VBR audio to DVD.
The source of this audio sync problem comes from Nero's codecs (more specifically Nero 7, Nero 6 and before worked fine) because the original Xvid movies play fine on the computer. The problem occurs when transcoding Xvid with variable bitrate audio to DVD compliant file, MPEG2 for example, using Nero's codecs.
The easiest fix would be to disable Nero's audio and video codecs. Without Nero's codecs, Nero Vision will use the default movie's codecs (Xvid) and the movie will burn in perfect sync. So if you liked using Nero Vision but have encountered sync problems, just disable Nero's codecs.

First of all, makes sure that Xvid codecs are installed on your machine before you delete Nero's codecs.
And then all you have to do is rename Nero's audio and video codecs or simply delete them. You can find the codecs at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\... The audio codec should be called NeAudio2.ax or NeAudio.ax and the video codec should be called NeVideo.ax. You can rename them to whatever you want but I would make it something you will recognize in case you have to revert your changes back for some reason.

Anyways, this method worked for me and it should work for whoever is getting problems with audio and video out of sync.

I've written a script to make this process easier. Just run and voila.

There's an enabler and disabler.

Nero isnt as good quality wise as WinAVI or ConvertXtoDVD. I am surprised how many people actually use it. I uninstalled Nero long ago so I can't really use it but thanks anyways.

Mo Fiya...= Good job.....now if you can help me find a way to make Nero 6.0 work with Vista would be great.

But ConvertXToDVD doesn't have a variety of customizations you can make with DVD Menus. But I do have it.

Thanks! I always watch my movies on my comp, but this was actually useful for my dad. Haha. This problem has been bugging him forever and I never cared to try and help him. But, since you've done it all for me... :D
