Default Windows Vista -> CRT Monitor vs NVIDIA Vista Drivers (The fix!)

Ever had a problem where you could not set your monitor's maximum resolution on Vista, but you could on XP? You tried PowerStrip, ResForce, RivaTuner, and every other program you can think of to add resolutions and etc, and still no solution?

Example: My monitor is rated for 1600x1200 @ 75 Hz, but Vista does not allow me to set it.

Well, I have found a solution for that problem!

Download the "OpenGL Fur Rendering Benchmark" from Guru3D (a 1.3 MB download). Install it, run it, and select 1600x1200 radio box. Click Go, and your monitor magically goes to 1600x1200. Hit ESC to quit out of the program.

Now, check Display Settings, and look!

The previously locked 1600x1200 mode on Vista is now unlocked!

After a restart, it still stays unlocked!
