If the contents you are trying to get to are valuable, they most probably won't have the above cheap lock on it. Unless you are doing it for fun, it isn't worth the time. Get boltcutters or just bash the lock.

Just to settle the padlock issue forever. There are 1000 combos. I know because i made a program generate ALL the combos and then count them. It took about 10 seconds but if you'd like to see the generated file i attached it.

I'm sorry if i blew away all your math with brute force. Truly...

This is retarded, I used to open these myself using common sense and it took me about 10 minutes to find the correct code.

I did this with my old school backpack back in like primary school.

I couldn't do homework for like a week one time until I just cut a hole in the side and duct taped it up.
That was when I found a piece of paper with my combination on it inside the bag.

how can that padlock display a number higher than 999? that means that there are 999 combinations plus the 000 combination = 1000

think of the padlock as a digital readout. using common sense show me how that padlock can show a number like 362000 lol

this is permutations and combinations.

there are 10 digits u can use (with repetition)

u can put any of these 10 digits in 3 positions

there for u hav 10*10*10 = 1000

you would use factorials (10!) if there was no replacement
