Shortened post so we can cut to the chase (Original post) -- Download Latest Version.
That above download will automatically redirect you to the latest download link for BNGE, so by coming here you will always have the latest, up-to-date, version.
Starting in BNGE v2, automatic updates will be available, so you will never need to browse anywhere to get the latest version, just open BNGE and check for any updates.
Congratulations/Thanks to:
- Jailout2000, for making the editor.
- Blizzard Entertainment, for making Starcraft and Warcraft, my 2 top games. =)
- REAL Software, for making my compiler (which made BNGE).
(Note: Original post has been replaced with the above one, there is no history of that post, sorry)
To the moderators: I could not upload BNGE as an attachment for some reason, I got an error with uploading by URL and from my computer.

Nice, but it needs some work still. Line up the buttons and make an icon for the program! (please)

I've tried Diablo II colored server names. They show up fine but only when your changing servers. The Button will say "Gateway:" but it works fine
OK so BNGEv1 is now no longer the current version, so if you still have any problems, please post again.Originally Posted by New problems?

I am pleased to announce the new version of BNGE, started from the ground up, not using the old versions.
Here are a few snapshots:
If you enjoy my programs, please consider giving me gifts in return.
BNGE is released under no license, this means that you can change anything you want in BNGE, it's even open-source. I do have one request which is that I keep my credits (if you do modify it).
BNGE allows you to modify (change) your gateway list, by using this program you ARE violating Blizzard's ToU (Terms of Use), BNGE is using Starcraft's colors and one of Starcraft's pictures, this means that BNGE falls under Blizzard's copyright as well... even though I'm the maker of it.
The gateway list is available in the Windows Registry, it's not hard to find.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Battle.net\Configuratio n - Battle.net gateways
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III - Battle.net Gateways
BNGE makes it easier to change these keys without the risks of changing the wrong things (the Windows Registry is very powerful and deserves respect, pay attention to what you do in the Windows Registry).
If BNGE has a problem, please report it to me with a snapshot (if you can), as well as with as much information as you can provide (such as what you were doing just before it happened).
BNGE can be automatically updated, thanks to my website. My website has a simple PHP script which BNGE asks the script to check if there are any updates, if there are BNGE will notify you.
Currently, BNGE is not available, it is still in it's alpha-stages, however if you seriously SERIOUSLY cannot wait, click here to download BNGE v2.0, after downloading be sure to remember that this has no support given and any problems you have will probably be fixed after or during release.
Are there any secrets with BNGEv2?
Yes. BNGEv2 will have a few hidden secrets, if you find them, enjoy the secret, one secret I can name off is the ability to preview the Starcraft gateways in different fonts and sizes. That's all I can say though. By saying how to activate the secret would be too much.
Will you (Jailout2000) be giving support to BNGEv2's users?
Of course! You may post on my website for the most speediest responses, if you post here, I may or may not get to it for a long while.
How stable is BNGEv2 compared to BNGEv1?
BNGEv2 was started from the ground up, a totally new system has been implemented, no code was copied from BNGEv1. This ensures that some bugs from BNGEv1 have been fixed in BNGEv2. One that I can name off which was really annoying, is the last character of the last server would always be removed, this has been fixed.
Do you (Jailout2000) have too much time on your hands and/or have no life?
Yes and yes. Unfortunately...
What servers do you play on, what are the other servers shown in the snapshots?
I play on U.S. West (Lordaeron).
The other servers are servers that I have discovered over the years.
Exodus is an alias to U.S. West, it has no real purpose.
U.S. East, Asia, and Europe... you all know these.
Beta Battle.net, this is introduced in Warcraft III, this is the Beta-zone for Battle.net, this is where Blizzard tests there games and patches, only Warcraft III is allowed on, unfortunately.
Ghoztcraft's Server is the PvPGN Battle.net server paid by Ghoztcraft and hosted by... uhh... I forget. :S
LocalHost, for when your hosting your own Battle.net server on the same computer your playing on, you can use this to connect to it (it comes in handy a lot).
When will a release be available?
Probably very soon, depending on my sleep-hours and how often I finish coding BNGEv2, with a bit of luck it should be released this month or next month, at the moment Warcraft III doesn't seem to wanna work with BNGEv2.
Anyway, just thought I'd share all this information with everyone...
Again, if you seriously SERIOUSLY cannot wait for me to finish up coding BNGEv2, you can download it here.

Ok everyone, I have finally got off my butt to complete BNGE v2.0, Warcraft III does not seem to like how BNGE saves the registry key, I cannot fix this.
When/if I do fix any bugs, you can download the update by just running BNGE v2.0, if you have automatic updates disabled, you goto the Settings tab and click Check for Updates. If it is required to quit BNGE, you will be notified and BNGE will quit, also when it quits it will open it's program folder.
Any updates are saved to Update.zip, you should remove everything from the current folder and extract this zip to that same folder, this ensures that the update will be applied. For your Settings.bnge, you may leave this here, the new version should read it just fine.
When my website is down, automatic updates will be disabled, if you didn't even think of this, your an idiot.
BNGE v2.0 is not under any license or warranty, after downloading you are in charge of it's usage. If BNGE gives you problems, you should remove BNGE, you should also report the problem to me so I can try to fix it, after using BNGE and your computer is not in a healthy state, you should also remove BNGE.
BNGE will not run in MS-DOS mode (not Command Prompt, but the actual DOS mode), BNGE is a desktop application, meaning it should be ran when you are not in DOS mode.
BNGE will try to save it's files to it's current folder, this will cause problems with Windows Vista, you should give BNGE proper permissions.
Enough of all that stuff, let's get to the features / bug fixes...
- Rewrote BNGE from the ground up.
- A new tabbed interface.
- Settings are now saved in BNGE's current folder.
- Warcraft III support has been added.
- A starcraft previewer has been added.
- A built-in updater has been added.
- The last character of the last server is no longer removed (it was a bug).
- The server lists use the same selection as Blizzard's games.
(e.g. U.S. West is selected in one of Blizzard's games, that same server will also be selected in BNGE).
- The main window has been shrunk (it's now smaller then before).
- Starcraft codes are now like Oblivion's codes instead of actual codes, however the codes are not case-sensitive (\R and \r will both work).
- A program icon has been added, hope everyone likes it.
BNGE will not run on a Macintosh, BNGE was built for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/Vista. BNGE will not run on Linux (why would you think it would run on Linux anyway?).
If you use BNGE on Vista, BNGE may look weird and you will not be able to fix this. If you use BNGE on XP, and it DOES look weird, you can fix this by changing your theme to Windows Classic, the scheme does not matter.
Thanks for using BNGE instead of the others!
You can click here to start downloading.

Edit: Noticed I can Edit my very first post in this thread, yay! That means I can change the title of this thread so people can see that it's updated and not some fool posting about it. =]
I never really took the time to realize how many people actually use my BNGE, just taking a stroll through google's search engine can say a lot.
Google: BNGE Jailout2000
Google: Battle.net Gateway Editor BNGE
Those 2 searches seem to have the most results.
I wonder how many people realize that I'm actually taking control over BNGE now and actually allowing people to contact me for bug fixes and/or feature requests.
Although with the so little posts made here, I gotta wonder how many people are actually wanting features / finding bugs.
Oh and maybe everyone should know that the BNGE download was changed from the actual URL to a PHP file, this allows me to track download statistics easier. By tracking how many downloads are made within each day, week, and month, I can see how many people are actually using BNGE (assuming that they are using it, and not just downloading it and re-uploading it or letting it get dust). By knowing this information, I can then see if I should continue to work on BNGE, or to dis-continue it.
The download statistics file is probably easy to guess, but I won't actually say where it is, I'll let you have fun guessing.
Hint -- It's located on my website and can be viewed as regular text.
Anyway, with so many people using BNGE v1, I wanna know how many people are interested with BNGE v2. I especially like BNGE v2's starcraft text preview, I might just make that into a simple program later, just for the heck of it.
The Starcraft text preview is hand written by me, if you want to know how I archieved it, simply learn the REALbasic programming language and I'll send you the source. actually the text preview is kinda buggy, so I still need to test it, but for what it's being used as right now, it's not buggy at all.
The previewer does not work with alignment codes yet, I haven't quite figured that one out yet. =p
Good luck with V2!
P.S. icyHell sure likes posting about my editor. :|
If it still is on the 1st page for this thread, I'll laugh.
