Warcraft 3 Patch & Problems

The new patch for Warcraft 3 FT has come out. Patch 1.22. This is unbelievable. Warcraft wont work on Vista! Well I'm not sure but I re-installed and still. Here is the message

"Frozen Throne was unable to find War3.exe Please make sure your game is correctly installed, and that your Frozen Throne disc is in your CD-ROM deive, and try again".

Yes my cd is in there. Anyone else have this problem? And could an Admin make an official thread for WC3 Patch.

Did it work on Vista before the patch?

Of couse it worked before. I've re-installed and still the same message.

Did you try it without Vista, might need to turn that off for it to work.

No I haven't. I'm sure there's something wrong with my PC. But if someone else has the exact same problem don't walk away without telling me. It could be my PC, Vista or the patch or all 3 combined. I'll never know. Can someone tell me if they got it working for XP? and those who haven't gotten it to work post up.

Go to google and type in the error messege. Usually something pops up and tells u what to do.

Google? This? I clearly stated this has only happened recently due to the new patch. Where on earth we're you? Clear message: "THIS HAS HAPPENED RECENTLY DUE TO PATCH. LAST PATCH WORKED FINE".

Im having problems as well and am not on vista. I have downloaded the patch but when i open the game i get

war3.exe - Application error
The application failed to inilialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on OK to terminate the application.

When i click ok it tells me frozen throne failed to run and to make sure i have the cd in. The only difference is that i dont have the cd :O

well theres your problem, VISTA!

you should call microsoft and ask for a free upgrade to Windows XP.. Lawls yes i said upgrade.

How about saying something helpful instead of the Vista bashing.

Well I guess this has been happening to alot of people besides me. I only wonder how to resolve this problem. You should see the Blizzard Tech Support channels flooding with users. It takes 3 hours possibly to wait your turn.

are you sick or just out of your mind? Getting XP would resolve it not working on vista. dont be a moron, you know its true!

also that type of error code is a DLL problem. something vista has issues with all the time. im not surprised and neither should VISTA users be. Either wait till someone posts a fix at popular forums or try some basic problem solving ex: reinstalling patch, checking VerBytes ect..ect.

good luck, give it time for the answer to surface

1 :longxxx, you're the most clueless person in this entire thread. IT'S BECAUSE OF THE PATCH, THIS ALL STARTED. Pay attention.

2 : At long last, I have found how to fix it! After 1 hour of messing around here it is.

3: Here's the link. Install it and run it. Then try running Warcraft 3. If it didn't work try looking on (Page 1, 2) of MiCrOz link above.
