Default Skinnable CMS?

I want an easily skinnable CMS. I decided that coding every website I've ever made by hand doesn't exactly help when you have actual content this time around. :P

I don't need anything extravagant but a message board is something I'm definitely going to need. Any suggestions for some good ones that I can easily (or at least, fairly easily) skin?

I've worked on a few projects for clients before involving different CMS'es and here's what I can help with.

For something simple, yet very powerful, try Wordpress. Yes, it's used mainly as a blog script, but you can tweak the categories and pages and posts to become an actual content based website, and it's easy as hell to skin. Simple PHP knowledge needed.

Something more versatile you might wanna look into is Joomla or Mambo, which has more plugins and features, but you'll need to be quite fluent with PHP to hack it into what you want it to become.

Also, there are tons of beautifully coded (some free, some paid) Wordpress themes already out, you just gotta know where to find them.

For a job I'm doing now I'm asked to skin Joomla.

It seems annoying as **** and isn't so simple. (but I haven't started yet, maybe it'll turn out being intuitive)
