Writers Group

I want to start a writers group for people who like to write short stories(or long ones). a place where we can post our stories or parts of them and receive helpful criticism from other writers, or avid readers.

I would rather have a subforum for this thats only viewable by members. this way threads are not cluttering the general chat section, and each person can possibly have a deticated thread for each story they write. It will also stop fags from spamming up or insulting our stories, and other unhelpful comments by people who undoubtable are nearly illiterate.

I think this would be a helpful group to have, since stories can be made for exclusive bwhack promotional videos. Perhaps we'll create some super awesome storylines, turn them into flash movies, and get leik super popular. Im trying to write a book, and some short stories i can possibly turn into books, and i think this would be helpful, and i dont trust other writing sites, as im sure somewhere in their license agreement some of them claim ownership of all submitted text/documents. and here, your all too lazy to do somthing like that


do you get a subforum by just making a group???im pretty sure you dont, so i posted here to see whats up about doing this.

There should be two classes, writers and readers. I would be a reader, because I can't write for ****. But I would be interested in reading what you guys are writing.

i have alot of beginnings of stories that im working on, and id like some feedback by people who actually read books. and it would probaly be extremly helpful, and give me a reason to write more.

The only problem I see is how to control who gets in, ie which readers are good enough to provide helpful feedback and not just be like "ZOMG SUCKSZORZ".

And I'd love to help out with this group. I know who's serious about writing. I have a few shorts I'd like help improving and cross-reference with similar work you people may pump out.

(a good way to tell how someone would be in a group such as this, is to read their posts. If they post "lol i like the sound of dis grup", chances are, they aren't a literary genius.)

I don't think it's a bad idea. I actually like the idea of a writer's group, but I don't like the name "Essayist." Lets make a section called "Writer's corner," where everyone can post their uber literary work prototypes or just scraps of writing they did while bored. Flame board tends not to get much useful feedback.

Ehem. Check the archives for the Essayists. It was a group designed for this purpose, and it failed. We don't need to repeat that eh?
